Company Profile

Leeds Industrial Inc was officially registered in 2014, in the city of Charlotte , North Carolina, United States of America. Although its actual activities were started well before that time, it was established as a host for business connections between the United States and Saudi Arabia, mainly in the field of oil and gas. The open opportunities in the other energy related industries was a good motive to expand the business network to other gulf states.

The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) inspection services were the beginning of the business activities. All conventional and advanced services were part of that activity. Some of the inspection companies in Saudi Arabia partnered with US and Canadian companies to carry out various projects, both onshore and offshore.

Starting on 2012, the Canadian company UT Quality, partnered with Quality Control Services, in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Aramco projects in Manifa and Shedgam were carried out jointly. UT Quality provided the advanced inspection of phased array through the UT Scan pipeline inspection solution.

Other cooperation agreements with Eclipse Scientific, Ontario Canada, were established with Quality Control Services Co. Ltd, and UT Quality Arabia, in Khobar Saudi Arabia. Many innovative solutions were provided by Eclispe Scientific that included the altrasound and eddy current applications

Among other service providers that e had connections with is the Mistras group, the largest inspection service provider in North America, and one of the most capable in the world. Inspection technology that includes the highest levels of reliability, and that utilizes robots are among the services that we marketed in Saudi Arabia. Acoustic emission solutions were marketed to both Saudi Aramco and Sabic, in the framework of a crack preventive monitoring program.

Later, the activities expanded to include the inspection under insulation, especially the inspection for the Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI). Through the business partnership between Maeen Engineering Consultancy in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and LIXI, Inc., Chicago, United States, several projects were carried out for client in Saudi Arabia. The CUI technology is still highly demanded especially with the continuous need for performing the inspection without stopping or pausing the operation in facilities like refineries or power plants.

Other field of business Leeds were involved in was the processing of the Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM). The radioactive material precipitations in the oil pipes creates a growing radiation hazard that increases with the age of the pipe and the positions of the precipitation parts especially within operations areas. The exposure of the labor, technicians and other staff members, that spend extended times around those parts, puts them under the serious risk of radiation exposure.

The produced water processing is another challenge. Water that is produced during the oil extraction process, is highly polluted, and may not be let to the environmental system. Before that, it needs a chemical treatment, that is, under the extreme temperatures in the gulf region is another challenge. We are currently communicated with produced water treatment service providers in the United States.
